Story of my spiritual awakening

My Path of Awakening Through the Body

Today, I'm going to share with you a little bit about my path with Awakening through the body. This is to give you more confidence in what I'm teaching, so I am not simply repeating things I've read in a book. This is a path that I have walked, tried, and tested. It has also given me much joy. When it comes to Awakening, we are all on a path; sometimes we move closer towards it, sometimes further away from it or the truth. The way we know we are on the path is when, through our lifetime, we experience some kind of progression in understanding and peace or some kind of resolution to our condition as The Human Condition.

In March 2018, I had what I can say was a mild Kundalini Awakening after meditating on the beach. I did this meditation on the beach and, afterward, sat down on a rock. I was not looking for this; I was not trying to make it happen at all. I was a little surprised by it, but what happened when I sat down on the rock was that I started feeling ripples of shakes and ripples of bliss through my body, which felt very orgasmic and lovely. I sat there on the beach with my body shaking, but my eyes were open. As I looked out over the beach and the ocean in Simonstown, Cape Town—a very beautiful beach—suddenly, it was like a curtain was yanked open. The amount of brilliance that streamed into my awareness was incredible. I suddenly noticed the line on the horizon, the colors, the blue of the sky, the hues in the ocean, the shapes, the ripples, the waves, the foam, the sparkles, the shapes of the waves, the rocks, the wetness on the rocks, the wetness on the sand, and the shapes on the sand. The amount of beauty that started to stream in was overwhelming. It was so magnificent that it was overwhelming, like a curtain was yanked open, and this brilliance started revealing itself more and more.

Something in me realized that my consciousness was not ready to absorb this amount of brilliance. It felt like getting a little closer to seeing the face of God, though God is another concept we do not have to pin down to any specific religion. Something opened in me there, and since then, I've been on an incredible journey to replicate that opening of awareness. I've been experimenting in nature, focusing on the pure physical feeling of my hands, feet, and face. Every now and again, I achieve it, especially when I go into a very simple state of focusing on my body with my eyes open. This brilliance often shows itself to me; nature reveals itself like heaven, and I am teaching myself to handle it.

Another very positive thing that happened was that I started experiencing full-body orgasms, which are basically the Kundalini energy. It is not only sexual energy but a vibration of bliss through the body. Love-making changed completely and became an absolute spiritual experience. As I started to understand the flow of energy through my body, I realized it is pure consciousness. There is a certain way I meditate into my body to understand that this is basically the void, the creator force, meaning pure potential. The creator force around which everything shapes. When this happens, insight—spiritual insight—just comes into the body without having to learn it from texts. It becomes experiential when one moves through the body. I suddenly understand what the Buddha meant when he says we become the Buddha, feeling the light and our connection as the divinity within ourselves. I now understand how Jesus said the God energy is within us. Many spiritual teachings are about us aligning with this God energy within us.

In my own life, I am starting to experience this heaven coming to Earth, manifesting through me. We are part of this creator energy creating and bringing the new Earth. It’s been a very satisfying path to walk. It’s not always full of sunshine and roses; it does have its challenges. However, I have experienced incredible synchronicities, especially when I align with sensing this vibration in my body. Even in my day-to-day life, I practice aligning with this physical buzz, bringing incredible calmness and focus. I immediately notice when the mind is not present in the moment, and beautiful synchronicities and surprises come across my path.

Another radical experience was in May this year. I did the Vipassana meditation as part of my research for a book I’m writing about life force. The Vipassana resonates with what I’m doing, focusing on the physical sensations of the body. I went on a 10-day silent retreat, meditating for 11 hours a day into the sensations of the body. By day five, I started experiencing myself as the inner observer. I was in my body but not my body, in this world and not of this world. This insight came simply through physical awareness.

By day eight, my whole body felt filled with light. I started purging, throwing up, feeling tuned into the universal vibration. Everything had a translucent quality, a brilliant shining translucent quality. This was overwhelming; I could feel the pulse of reality, the veil of projection of our world. We are all just energy, and I felt this other dimension of being. It made sense what heaven on Earth is—a vibration through our bodies. It was like seeing more of God's face, understanding our condition. It was overwhelming, with a sense of an ego death happening. I was scared of disappearing, but I brought myself back by tying my hair in a bun.

It felt like tripping on mushrooms, but I was completely sober, meditating into this understanding. This bliss state lasted for days. Even when I came back, driving through the mountains, I could tune into this vibration in my body. Everything became luminous and beautiful. Now, I practice turning on this vibration in my body, making the internal awareness stronger. When things become luminous, I know I’ve tuned in far enough. I am learning to contain this inner flow, push up the volume, and make everything beautiful and translucent.

I am on the path of Awakening, like all of us. What I see so far, I am happy to share and guide others into. For me, it is a very simple path, connecting to the body in a very simple way, and then the magic happens through Grace.
